Academic Integrity Policy

The Washington Township school district views plagiarism in any form as unethical and unacceptable.  In an attempt to maintain academic integrity, students are instructed as to what constitutes plagiarism and how to prevent it through class and IMC lessons.  In addition, Turnitin.com, an electronic database which detects plagiarism, is now available for student and staff use. This service prevents and detects plagiarism by comparing submitted papers to pages on the Internet and to its own database of submitted papers within twenty-four hours. To ensure that everyone is aware of the policy and new detection program, please read the examples of plagiarism and the points of this agreement and sign accordingly.
