Now that you have explored other librarians' web pages, you are ready to consider what information to include on your home page.
Focus the content toward the intended users of the home page which are usually students and teachers. 
Keep in mind that your library's home page is a work in progress and the content will evolve depending on the needs of your students and faculty.
Focus your efforts on the basics and strive for quality!

Collection Development - locate exemplary sites for teacher assignments and post them as subject links or hotlists

Professional Development - Your library home page can become a virtual professional development center by offering online courses that teachers can use to enhance their knowledge and hone their technology skills.  These courses should be geared to what teachers need to know to integrate technology into their lessons.   They can be organized as how-to-manuals and provide links to resources.
